The economic value of launch activity extends to the work required before and between missions: manufacturing, testing, maintenance and supplier services. Kennedy Space Center, commercial launch facilities and Port Canaveral give this region a distinct operating base. The question is how much of that work remains with Florida firms and workers as launch capacity expands.
